The cliff railway at Constitution Hill, Aberystwyth (UK) has been operating since 1896. It has relied on a Control Techniques DC drive system for nearly 40 years and, after four decades of service, it was time for an upgrade. The new system, incorporating a Control Techniques Mentor MP DC drive system, has delivered safety and performance benefits to the train's operation.
