In this video, Brad Vorrie gives us an overview of the 1S Servo from Omron Automation.
The 1S servo is the newest edition to the Omron product line up. This servo is 100% an Omron design which means they have complete control of customer driven changes.
The initial release has sizes from 100W to 3K and 120, 240, and 480 volts.
The height of the amplifier is THE SAME through all size which means easy wiring and consistency in panel space.
This servo gives you power access on top and motor access on the bottom and includes a built in brake relay which means panel builders will love you!
It has a 23 bit absolute encoder that requires no battery which means you no longer have to worry about changing batteries!

Finally my favorite feature….. Initial setup in seconds! Intuitive wizards will walk you through setting up initial parameters, allowing you to manually jog, index, and tune. You even have multiple ways of tuning to completely optimize your system.
Did I mention there is even an integrated sizing software?
